Jason Kaplan

About

Ever since I began taking photos for work, I seem to take a camera wherever I go, whether it be vacations, day trips, or family events. I love capturing moments in time, as well as the beauty of nature.

I graduated from Montclair State University, in 2000, with a BA in English. I minored in journalism with a concentration in creative writing.
 

A few months after leaving college I obtained my first job as a reporter. For about 10 years I worked for Suburban News covering a variety of meetings, reporting on news events, and writing features. Toward the end of my tenure, I began to dabble in photography.

 

From 2008 to present, I have worked for The Cornwall Local. I continue to write news articles and features, but contributing photos has become one of my responsibilities.
